Ford Transit Plug-in Hybrid Electric Van unveiled

Ford’s plug-in hybrid electric Transit Custom van has made its dynamic debut at the Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle 2017 event at Millbrook. The Ford Transit Custom PHEV has an advanced hybrid system that targets a zero-emission range in excess of 31 miles and features the multi-award winning Ford EcoBoost 1.0-litre petrol engine as a range extender to give a total range of some 310 miles. The PHEV approach not only gives a better range than a battery only vehicle, but also offers a higher payload and the ability to offer quick and easy recharging from a standard electricity supply. “For more than 50 years businesses have relied on Ford Transit to get the job done, and we are determined to maintain that tradition as we move into the electric age,” said Mark Harvey, director, urban electrified van programme, Ford of Europe. West London Businesses invited to Join Electric Vehicle Trial

Under the Mayor’s Air Quality Fund, the London Borough of Hillingdon and its partners (the London Borough of Hounslow, Heathrow Airport and GSK) are offering local businesses the opportunity to trial electric vehicles in the workplace at no cost, other than providing their own insurance. The trial will give participants the opportunity to: Test an electric vehicle over a two- to four-week period. Gain first-hand experience of utilising an electric vehicle (EV) for your day-to-day business use. Understand whether using an EV meets your usage requirements and whether it could be beneficial for your company. The trial has been made possible through funding from the London Mayor’s Air Quality Fund (MAQF) and is open to all businesses with a company vehicle in the Borough of Hillingdon and surrounding area. Frosts Interior Plants get even greener with electric van

Following an initial 30-day trial period using Fleetdrive Electric’s flexi-lease service, Frosts Interior Plants have now replaced their diesel van with a new eco-friendly Nissan eNV200 electric van. The trial demonstrated that the electric van with it’s 80-mile battery range was perfectly viable for the business requirements of the London-based operations. Now operating with zero carbon-emissions, Frosts are benefiting from London Congestion Charge savings every day (as 100% electric vans are exempt), as well as on-going fuel savings. Nissan e-NV200 Rapid-Charging Electric Vans now available to lease

Fleetdrive Electric are pleased to announce that the new Nissan e-NV200 Acenta Rapid rapid-charging electric van is now available to order from £299+vat a month for a 48 month (3+47 payments) leasing option. Based on the NV200 – voted International Van of the Year 2010 – and using a similar drivetrain to the LEAF, the e-NV200 is offered in both panel van and five-seat combi form with two trim levels and is said to deliver exceptional running cost savings over a conventional diesel van.
